I'm right there with you. I smoke burley, dark air, and fire cured in clays and cobs exclusively. I think there's a rustic quality to these that just seems to fit.
Today after 3 weeks praparation i have made 1.1 kg (2.4 lbs) of my favorite homeblend NB

Sorry about the late respond , i just se your questions .Wow. That is just top-notch. When you use heat plus pressure, are you starting with leaf that's already been in a kiln, or does the heat take the place of a long-term kiln?
Congratulations. You get the right of naming--like discovering a new species....not sure what to call it.
I went ahead and ordered a tin of that John Cotton 1&2 you mentioned to me a while back. It should be here soon. It will be a nice change from the aromatic blends I've been puffing on.
