Result: didn't like this blend at all on 3 days & 1 week rest, they were harsh with a taste I didn't care for. Much better now after 25 days: easy draw, good burn, surprisingly malty sweet on the light, malt/roasted chicory/bitter chocolate/black pepper mid, strong cedar end. Still not my favorite, but time has definitely helped these: big difference.

Well starting to figure things out this is a pen red and Maryland filler with a pen red binder and a Maryland wrapper.. I think the next one will have a strip of fire Cured in it. This was a roll and smoke.

Whew, that's a lot of Maryland. How was it?

Nice looking roll, you're definitely getting things figured out.

Overall really good cedar notes slightly peppery smooth wrapper has no bite too it, I think I will roll a few and let them sit and add some fire cured to darken up the flavor make it a little richer. American type cigars are different for sure bit in a good way. I will continue down the rabbit hole and see where it leads.

Result. commercial draw, good burn, nice format, again more time has helped but similar review as before: fine cigar but this blend (2-1-1, fault is mine) is not up to snuff. 1-1-2 better and 1-0-3 significantly better.IMG_20190927_080335771.jpg

My box press. The five, lighter-colored ones, in the middle were rolled by me with stuff from my recent WLT shipment (minus the wrapper, which I got from @webmost). They are five different blends, the blend codes noted on the underside of the bands. Conveniently I'd smoked five of these Mille Fleurs already, so I had spare space and spare bands. I had to really jam the new rolls into those five slots. I closed the box and put a heavy mold on top, and voilà, easy box press. I'll leave'em in there for a month.

More easy-peasy boxpress. These are "Super Partagas" size, 40x5.5, instead of the classic petite coronas of the above Mille Fleurs. Two CT shade, 1 Criollo Oscuro, one Habano. They're fresh done, so no box shaping happening yet:

waikiki's rolls look better and are more uniform than the adjacent habanos. If we could get cuban leaf, he'd have them beat

Result: good commercial draw (I prefer lil snug :)), adequate to poor burn, bad butterscotch/rancid white oak on the light, harsh white peppercorn and sour wood mid, worse end.

Yeah, no. The more piloto viso in this blend, the less I like it.
