Lol Wazz, I'm sure lots a folks here think I'm a frenchie but I'm as english as any other anglo. Lately I been hearin lots about people havin trouble with their vehicles in the cold. Some of the guys at work complain they plug em in and still have a hard time. I got a dodge dakota 4X4 with the 318 v8, I love it. Never plugged it in but it always starts. No joke, -20 I'll turn the key and she don't even turn twice before she's runnin. Now if only I could get some heat outta the dang thing lol. Weathers supposed to warm up some next week for us. Goin from -30°c to +5°c round wednesday. Heck, a week ago it got to +10°c and then down to -20°c within a day and a half.

In northern New York (in my youth) if you didn't plug your heater in over night no guarantee your car would start in the morning. But that was before global warming..

Now if only I could get some heat outta the dang thing lol. Matty I had a 2002 silverado that just about froze me. I found it had 2 cabin air filters that were plugged with dust and leaves. I replaced them and what a difference it made in the inside temp. Russ

Lakota; Last year I replaced the heater core, it was leaking, had the whole dash out, replaced the thermostat and flushed the whole system. After all that, still barely enough heat to break the frost off the windows :( I also have a ford ranger, makes heat fast and lots of it, thing is that it's the worst winter vehicle I've ever had. So, frigid mountain goat or a toasty "bambi on ice" lol. We're expecting freezing rain here for wednesday and thursday, at least it won't be cold :p

We've just finished a week or so of sub-zero temps here.

Mid-week short and sweet letter to the editor of our local paper:
"After the last few days of these temperatures, I'm a bit fed up with this Global Warming crap!"

Weather vs. Climate
Donner S: Climatic Change said:
"Our study demonstrates just how much local weather can influence people's opinions on global warming," says Donner. "We find that, unfortunately, a cold winter is enough to make some people, including many newspaper editors and opinion leaders, doubt the overwhelming scientific consensus on the issue."
