Re: Seanz Grow log

Save your seed! In a few more years they'll be used to growing upside down, then they'll get some size :)

I thought seed were hard to come by down there. Why didn't you bag? Or are they easier to get than I thought?

If you get any at all you should save and grow a bit next season and see what happens. You may have a NZ acclimated strain you like.

Well, after this season, I'll have some to share around also. When your season comes back around, keep in mind I'll send you whatever you want of mine and what I don't have, I can find it and ship in one shipment. No worries.

Re: Seanz Grow log

I just reread my post and saw an error, I was more than happy with the seed i got... Just didn't think any of the plants i grew were strong enough to warrant seed bags, I hope people didn't get upset by the comment,
And My mate up the line is growing some of the seeds i got and he said he will be bagging them .but thanks for the offer mate.

I have your weather on my home page and you do it hard compared to the bay. Its good to see your plants going and I have bagged seed that is browning off so can send some your way if you want.

Re: Seanz Grow log

Righto I am thinking its time to get some picking done.
IMG_20130316_112603.jpg
This is the shade leaf It hasnt done that well, I put it down to where its sitting in a lower p[art of the garden and maybe me not feeding them enough. But the leaf is yellowing up and so I am thinking Of picking it.

NB11 Starting to ruffle up and turn on the bottom leaves, once again didn't get the size of the plant even though the leaf is humangus, so pretty stoked on that side,

VA gold , Another that didn't grow as expected but .. I was pretty hands off with most of these, It was an experiment But next year I will definitely feed more and take better care of them.

Good deal. Now it's time for the curing experience. How are your temps and humidy treating you now?

Re: Seanz Grow log

Early twenties and a average humidity hover around 60% But that's a city wide reading. I am not sure where i will be curing them as last year a lot of my leaf went the mold way in the shed, So I am thinking of keeping them in a room inside where I can better control things in regards to humidity and air flow and temp

Re: Seanz Grow log

Do you not have horn worms in NZ? All your grow blogs show the prettiest, cleanest leaf with no holes in them. You should be the cigar wrapper capital of the world.

Seanz, nice healthy plants. You took some lumps getting here. Congratulations.

Re: Seanz Grow log

No horn worms that I know of, I do have some damage which I have put down to cabbage moth, as they were the only thing hanging around, My biggest leaf destructor is random hail or heavy rain and winds Oh and kids..

First Priming of the va in the shed. I am going to leave the tips on untill I am ready to pull them and see what i get from suckers. Man I forgot how tacky the whole process is. Bit of a nic kick from just threading the leaves onto the string.

Re: Seanz Grow log

Why did you put the virginia gold in shade? I hope to see more pics of shade grown wrapper leaf while still on plant this year during priming and grow stages. It may be the lighting in photo but it looks like theres less green pigment. I grew some and it was just a lighter shade of green instead of a deep dark green for variety.

It was grown where it got at least ten hours full light.
So I didn't think it was shaded.
But that being said this lot was a lighter shade of green than normal. Last years was a deep green
The tn90 is against the house and the comstock spanish they both are a deep deep green and have a massive leaf on them.
