Feb.19 is the start day of the plant. Got till then to drill and lable the latchhook markers to clear coat and get ready.(velcro)
Trays and starters are in place. However am limited to low variety due to space.

I have place set up for 6 more types but not here as of today. Looks like alot but not really. Planting 10 of each and letting 3 of each to seed. Some I will sell for fert. and water. Folks here like them for the yard just to look at, so I plant extra.
I'v got to however get the Nitrogen up just a little, not much for the start. PC in shop so pics will be a little later so I can dn. load.

I now have 5 trays and 20 6 gall buckets on the go. Today I am putting up the green house. It is 72 deg. as I speak. I have 6 more types to get started.I want to thank every one for shareing and swaping the seeds for this grow.

Some good varieties you've got this year oshea..you obviously like a good bit of kick in your smoke

Plant the silk leaf a bit closer like 18" it's not a big plant and if you like a fuller stronger smoke don't plant too much of,it. It is very mild air cured, better sun cured like an oriental I have found 4 -6 weeks from topping gives good sun cured leaf, it won't be yellow, it is a plant that takes a bit of time to prime you will need a long season for it. Of you are finding diff please talk to me as it is a bit of a thorn in my side.

Sounds familiar. I was thinking I was gonna start with 7 - 12 varieties. Now I'm at 38. Looks like you have 34 varieties? That's where I was at, then just had to order four more from Skychaser.

T Izmir and VA Broad Leaf poped up last night and today everything was in the show. Tobacco seed is like Roman numerals, 2 or 3 thousand look like a billion and - How do You spell zero? LOL

Out of all planted, Only the Lattaquie has not made a show. However it went to the carpet via little dog. LOL RC said it was old stock so I wasn't sure of that one. Just gave it a try and hope it came up. Will give it more time just in case.
I think I got carried away with how many- Wanted more but fig. I better stop. My hands will be full at harvest and seed time. A buddy of Mine came by from the Isleta res. and said My grow was bad for Their buisness, And I told Him not due to I have no Isleta baccy in the mix LOL.
