Well the mold has returned to the plants I sprayed on sat. With the Penncozeb.I hope I figured it out tho.The starter mix with the peat moss weighed a ton and was frozen it was last years Peat moss water soaked from being outside. That is what I started with. When I had my wife pick up the 3 bags of miracle Gro potting mix 2cu. Ft. Bags for my transplants My kid put the first one in the cart but could not even put the other two in without the help of another person. Bags are outside also.My wife was bitching about water leaking out of the bags when she got home. Them bags were heavy .2 out of 3 were last years also. There was no mulch in them per say just black stinkey dirt. I thought it was suppose to be that way. Of course the last bag I opened and planted in was totally different potting mix in this years bag.I have no mold in the cups in this years potting mix. You can tell the diff by the cups and dirt with mold and without next to each other.

I can't figure out why my dumb phone does not leave spaces between sentences, squashes it all together. I fix it and it squashes it?

BT, I tried using baking soda solution (like FM mentioned earlier) on my moldy peat pods the other day. So far so good, seems to be working better than sunlight, black light or vinegar. I'm actually surprised my starts aren't dead from all the PH up and down I've done to them lol. Can't help with the phone though, I been havin problems with mine some lately as well. Ain't technology fun? :p

Thanks Matty, I tried baking sofa also no luck. I think it is the old peat moss and potting mix. No mold yet on the new starts with the fresh bag.I just finished the scalpings on the plants tonight.Sissors , Beer, and Baccy Ain't a good idea. Any one need a haircut .No mold on the new starts yet in the fresh potting soil.I going to the store to talk to the manager on the way home tomorrow for selling leftover moldy potting mix. This is worse than spilt hot coffee in the croch from McDonalds.

Put that old potting mix in buckets and kiln it to 150f. Before using any more. Should eliminate any mold spores.

I believe that 150ºF is a fairly optimistic temperature for killing many mold spores. The spores (as opposed to the vegetative growth) in some varieties can survive boiling water.

Stopped at the store today and presented my case with photos.
They asked if I had the empty bags, I said nope.
They asked if I had a receipt , I said nope the dog ate it.
They asked if she used a rewards card, knowing my wife I said Yup.
They never looked it up, and said take many As I need.
Better than nothing. I took three bags.
Now time to start transplanting Again. Jeesh this is getting old but still no mold in the fresh soil.

It's about time luck swung your way. Maybe this is a sign there'll be smooth sailing the rest of the season. I love the way you hung in there when the chips were down. It says a lot about your character. Best of luck ol' buddy.
