I just made a quick chew recipe and im letting it rest as we speak as its a little too "wet" i didnt take all the measurements as i was playing around with flavors but i will post what i have. I dont chew much but do enjoy from time to time. esp when working outside.

tobacco used was cigar scraps, i soaked in water for a couple mins, rinsed and soaked again. squeezed out and then dried on paper towel to a lower case. it was about 1/2-2/3 a quart size bag of tobacco.

for the flavoring i used,
3/4 cup juicy juice fruit punch flavor (what i had) simmered down to a syrup
1/2 tsp dark brown sugar (didnt have molasses, but i would def use molasses instead)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
tiniest amount of sodium carbonate (i have used this in nasal snuff of less volume and it was about the same amount)
a drop of watkins vanilla flavoring
a dash or two of peychauds bitters ( this is said to have notes of candied cheery, clove, orange. all i get is anise and licorice)

i dumped the tobacco in and coated well and it is still sitting. i tried a little and it was decent, just very wet.

i will keep posted on how it works out!
