Yes, I got a 23 cu ft. chest freezer that I'll eventually get turned into a flue-curing chamber. Just side tracked with other stuff right now, so am planning on having it running in 2014 season. I've done a lot planning about how to get it done, got most components, just need to get it done.
Don't think there are problems with going to 165+ degrees, have placed big pot of boiling hot water on plastic interior, didn't soften, and no smell. Also put crockpot in it, on high for couple hours - it got to near 200 degrees, again, no softening or smell.
Is that what you mean by 'gas out'.?
