Does the new shredder produce a wider cut? Seller X advertises a cut of 1.5mm. The old one cut 0.78mm. I would prefer the narrower cut.

That may be due to the wider cut? I'm just glad my old one is still chugging along.

Same here. My old one (with the 0.78mm cut) has the perfect width cut for cigarettes and works fine in pipes also. They do sell "shag cut" pipe tobacco that is very narrow.
