Cigar Glue

I'm looking for good recipes that I can use to make my own cigar glue. Can you help me there? Do you have any good recipes?

I use either corn flour or tapioca starch. Mix with water & heat until it gels.

Any white paste for pre-school children, if it says "edible", is just a common starch paste that can be thinned and used for cigar glue. Most wallpaper paste is also just edible starch. At the grocery, any one of these: gum Arabic, xanthan gum, mastic, corn starch. Just about any long-chain starch will work.

EDIT: I forgot to mention arrowroot, potato starch, gum tragacanth. There are others. Pectin can also be used (but I can taste it).

Does the sticking effect get better if you add some sugar or honey?

Honey and sugar are short-chain carbohydrates. Pastes, gums and glues are long-chain carbohydrates. The longer the molecular chain, the stickier the glue.

Made one glue with tapioca starch and a second one with tapioca starch and gum arabic. Both work very well.

Ive tried banana peel, buckwheat honey and pectin, It all seems to work.
