I DRIVE A SEMI FOR A LIVING,,, AND TODAY ME AND A CO-WORKER '' VEERED OFF THE NORMAL PATH'' TO GET TO ANOTHER STORE, TO GET A DRINK SINCE THE STORE NEAR THE '' JOB'' HAD NO ICE,,,...

we were there, and the truck foreman came by and signed us out, { time to go home }

when we got to the shop,,, we find out they dont want us 2 drivers back on the job,,,??? so we are fired.since my boss has no nut's to go over this truck foremans head TO HIS BOSS.....and explain we were taking lunch,,it was dead on noon-time,,

im not really concerned with it, the good thing about having a C.D.L. is thier is allways work,,,,, BUT FIRE ME FOR DOING SOMETHING WRONG, OR AGAINST THE RULES<<<<,

im sure thiers a legal issue here,,, '' workers rights'' states you have the right to a 30 minute lunch break<???

the sign is posted in front of every time clock ive ever punched,,,,

i wasnt fired 3 hours, and had done lined up a under the table job, running a TRACTOR AT A LOCAL DAIRY FARM,,,,

so as bad and sorry as it may sound, i will draw unemployment, and still get paid under the table,,,,

boss's that have no back-bone or a set of ball's,,,,,,that dont, or will not stand up for thier drivers, due to the fear of losing a contract,,,,when the drivers were not in the wrong,,,

well> they lack manly skills for lack of some vulguar language<

who knows, maybe on this farm, i may be able to plant more baccy on another plot,????

I have never been fired but I sured did quit and tell my boss off and then he rehired again with a raise , Honestly .I worked for my boss for several years with his cattle and running his construction equipment . No one else was allowed to run the equipment except me . The last time I quit I started raising my own tobacco , Being my own boss and the the boss of my workers who I treated better than I should have for some . My quitting put me in a different direction for the better . Maybe this will be the same for you .Some things happen for a reason.
I always figure if a person did their job , it didn't matter what kind of break they took . It is a sinking gut feeling when you are suddenly out of work .

Catch him on a break some where and get even .If johnlee's bag isn't big enough let me know I will send you some to add to it .

what I would do is exactly how your handling it with the under the table off the books and still get too collect from the firm.. and I do believe when it comes down to the unemployment office they will even agree that the firm is out of bounds as for a legit reasons on firing you & co worker. there are also truck drivers legal services out there that will also help out. I have never heard of a snafu company as who you drove for. as I even drove trucks and drive them straight to my home and start out the day from home instead of going the distance to a shop too pick up the semi.

YES> i am going to enjoy this little break i had threw in my lap...

i have hundreds of young plants that im not going to need, so i got 5 bags of potting soil yesterday,,, im gonna put each plant in it's own pot, and put a sign at the road and sell them individually,,,

ive never worked a dairy farm before,,,,, maybe the change will do me good,,,

well today was the first day of me recieving a unemployment check,,,

so bogus the reason i was fired,,, but it's water under the bridge now,,

ive been on unemloyment once in my life for 2 months,,,

i think im going to ride this one out,,,and enjoy the summer, on my prior boss's dime,

You got the rite idea chicken, a little beach time , a little baccy time, sleep late and go to bed late on the days when the dairy doesnt need ya ! Remember all those of age girls at spring break........ Summer is even better ! Lucky dog I cant get fired my boss takes everything i give him and still says go to work.
