So today I made 250 grams of homemade snuff in a style similar to gletcherprise. Started the process with light fired VA. This far it seems to have turned out well. Nicotine is very strong even as a smoker.
It now sits in jars to mature for a bit before I give in one last pass through a 70 mesh sieve. The ammonia smell is currently on par with smelling salts.

I did use an alkalizer as I'm a nicotine fiend. I used sodium carbonate. I took baking soda and spread it on a cookie sheet and baked at 400f for a hour to turn the sodium bicarbonate into sodium carbonate.

I used the sodium carbonate 9gm to 100gm of tobacco flour. It has a very healthy nicotine kick, Probably on par with Toque whiskey and honey USA. Adjust your volume of alkalizer to suit your needs.

That is great congratulations RattlerViper. For me that's enough Gletcherprise for sniffing over a year. Gletcherprise is one of my favorites but for snuff 15 g can last me three months. 250 g would last me forever. This looks a little wet so it seems you plan to chew it instead. The ammonium smells goes out after a week. I usually leave it in a glass pyrex and mix it daily for five days. I've been toiling around the idea to make it bought the camphor, cedar wood, and peppermint but I am quite hesitant at making a full 250g cook.

Oh no I am not going to chew it. It will be spread in a cookie sheet and allowed to breath and dry out a bit, and then ran a final time through a sieve so that it is uniformly fine.
I apologize for the late reply, seems no matter my settings I don't get notifications. I'll just have to swing by more often.

That is great my RattlerViper, I would finish at least half a batch first, before making more. Dude, a whole pound, cooked would yield like 900g-1kg of Gletscher, at 15 g per snuff tin, that would be like 60. In a year, I go through 6 so just imagine. I wish you the best in your evil plan. Buy brown shirts so no one notices the snuff drips. hahaha

You snort 5g - 8g of snuff into your nose? I could understand it if it was Bavarian Schmalzer! But normal snuff really? Then you're really hardcore!
