Hello everyone!
I'm a new grower from south western Germany. We have a long tradition of tobacco growing in my region which motivates me to keep that practice alive, even if just for myself. Every other year or so there are huge tobacco fields just behind my house, very much a precious sight.
I'm mostly interested in cigarette tobacco but producing the odd cigar or cigarillo here and there is definitely something I'd be interested in.
I want to keep this whole hobby as lowkey as possible as I have a tendency to fall head over heels into rabbit holes like these (brewing beer, baking bread just to name a few).
I did grow a tiny crop of Badisch Geudertheimer last year in pots but I didn't really know enough about the process. Now it has black mold on it so I guess I'll have to do a bit more research for which this community seems perfect.
I'd really appreciate advice for a newbie like me!
