Greetings everyone! Over the last month or so I've picked up the hobby of rolling cigars after being a cigar enthusiast for about seven years. I've had my eye on rolling for about the last two years and finally dove in. I have a fascination with old tools and machines from the industrial revolution. I collect, repair, and restore them as a hobby as well. I already have way more cigar molds and tools than any beginner should have any right to. I don't seem to have the ability to only be partially interested in something I'm passionate about. As such, I have also been a blacksmith and custom knife maker for 14 years. I plan on making some chavetas in the future because the one I purchased (because I was lazy and impatient) has a lot more flex than I'd like.

I have two other main hobbies but I feel that my introduction is long and meandering enough as it is. I look forward to joining in discussions with everyone!

Thank you very much! I'm one step ahead of you. I've already ordered some leaf from WTL and elsewhere. I've been working on rolling puritos to take flavor notes on each variety that I have.

I guess that is true. I've done woodworking in various forms for about 23 years. Everything from cabinet making and antique furniture restoration to traditional timber framing.

My other main passion is collecting, drinking, and learning about whisky. I also am the co-founder and chairman of my local whisky club, which is in it's ninth year.

I had no idea Wisconsin had a tobacco industry. I am familiar with that area. That's pretty interesting to find out.

Welcome to FTT. A few years back, I discovered my biological father was from Wisconsin. When I went back to meet some family I drove from Minneapolis to Greenwood WI. Such a different landscape than where I live in Oregon.
