Thanks for the reply. It's far too much of a hassle for me to make my own at this point and I would be more than happy to purchase my first small tobacco kiln from someone. I'd be happy to pay $200 Australian ($155.06 American) plus postage and whatever it cost to build the small kiln. I think that's more than reasonable. I'd be happy to pay up front then wait for the kiln to arrive in the mail. Offer's there.

I'd rather the be made from wood. Dark wood and have a see-through door, if I may be picky. Whatever it costs, I will pay (up front).
I’ll ask around to see if anyone in NZ is interested. Have you though my of just using a small bar fridge and slow cooker in meantime? That would fit about 5kg of leaf if you fermented it inside jars/plastic containers rather than hanging
You all are doing some fancy stuff we poor farmers just pile it up, throw a huge tarpaulin over it and check it out occasionally. There’s probably an incubator in Australia somewhere, a GQF cabinet type. It’ll do what you’re wanting it to do.

Thanks Davo and Danny. Never thought of using an incubator. Interesting idea... I'm not much of a handy-man (I'm more a shaman type) and don't own a car or that many tools. So it really makes a lot more sense for me to just buy a kiln at this point.
I'll just sit back and wait for someone to say they're interested in helping me out. There's no rush as I intend to make the payment on the 25th of this month.

If slow cooking a plant at a time is what you want to do, that should do it and you can always add moisture if it’s drying them too fast, but with the adjustable thermostat you can adjust for that as well. Be cautious though as those little incubators can develop some pretty high temps. Keep it out of direct sunlight and I advise keeping it low to the ground. I’ve hatched numerous chicks and if you aren’t careful the temp in those can get away from you. Now that I’ve mentioned it to you I have on old cabinet model Lehigh incubator. It’s made a lot like the GQF. I might try some short term fermenting myself.
Just incase you hadn’t seen this thread. I’ve ended up going down track of bar fridge (free), slow cooker ($10nz from op shop) and a plug in temperature controller ($65 nz from trademe I think they ship to OZ). No wiring. Not even worrying about further insulting etc this year.

Hi guys my first kiln was an old fridge.(free). I just pulled out the racks and put in some hangers. Heat source was an old crock pot,
( free). The controller cost around the $100 NZ. I got the controller for my new kiln, I'm sure you can get cheaper ones. This is my controller.
The kiln could be built by my great grand daughter easy.
