In the early 2000's I had some F&T Morocco Snuff that was flavored with scented geranium. It was dark and slightly moist and something I really enjoyed. F&T does not make it anymore and could only tell me it was a bit like their current Macouba, but I didn't remember it that way.

I have some burley and virginia on hand, so I mixed them at about 60/40. 67.4% Tobacco, 27% water 3.6%, Sodium Carbonate, 2% Salt. I don't have a sensitive scale in grams, so everything was done in grains on a powder balance.

I have grown a handful of scented geranium plants over the years and found one a few years back that reminds me of Morocco. I have cut some leaf from the plant and placed it in the jar to impart some smell. The aroma is subtle, but there. This weekend was one week out from the original mix, and I can still smell lingering ammonia. Moisture seems right still and the tobacco has darkened considerably. It hits stronger than expected, but tolerable. I might back the salt down a bit for the next batch, but waiting to see how this batch changes in the coming weeks.

It is not Morocco, but it is a small batch of snuff I am enjoying.
