New Tobacco Seeds

I've been gardening and farming for a while, but this is my first time growing tobacco.

I ordered seeds (from Urban Farmer) and got 100 seeds each of these varieties: Cherry Red, Shirey, Burley 21, Golden Burley, and Virginia Gold.

I'm hoping to make an interesting cigarette blend for personal use. Do these varieties sound promising for that sort of thing?

Would love to hear from anybody who has grown any of these varieties before.

They look great. I would add an oriental variety at about 10% to your blend.

Looks like you have it covered. I've grown Virginia Gold and Harrow velvet. I like these two, they can be sun cured and smoked straight from the hanger. The addition of an oriental improves the flavor I used Izmir Ozbas and it was very nice.

Any recommendations for an oriental/Turkish cultivar (or 2 or 3) that would be good in a cigarette blend? I haven't looked into those at all.

yer finger slipped. It's Prilep 66-9/7. It's the only Prilep strain I sell. It's the candy of tobacco. Samsun (aka Black Sea Samsun) is one of my top sellers. Personally I like Samsun Maden a little more. It makes a great stand alone cigarette. It's not on my website. You gotta ask for it. Izmir Ozbas is nice too. I have a Lebanese Izmir that is faster to mature. And I have Bulgarian Red Izmir, which is much like Ozbas but perhaps a little richer. Darker green leaf with a deep red flower. You gotta ask for that one too.

Urban Farmer sells my seed. Got another order going out to them today.
