One of my mates just retired, AF, moved to his new property in the area. He has a mobile home for now and is driving it east to get out of the way so I have anxiety by proxy for him. Praying for all in the area.

The live camera on Grand Isle was just submerged, and went off line. It is (was) mounted on a pole 7 feet above water level.

EDIT: I find that the most distressing aspect of watching these live cameras of a weather event that will surely kill people, and damage so much, is that many of the streaming comments (which I can't disable) seem to regard it as entertainment, a great venue for spam, and a source of humor.
