Living in PNG it affords me to have a "Second Growth" of sorts on my plants. For example, once I harvest the leaves on my tobacco plants I can then just snap off about half the stalk and within just a few weeks I end up with three or four shoots that then grow new leaves. They are never as big or as nice as original growth, but it's a pretty way to get some extra leaves quickly and without doing much work.
I was just curious if any of you are able to do this or if it's just something that living in a rain forest and near the equator affords?
Here's a pic...sorry it's not great quality, but maybe you can see the new stalks that have grown. Nearly all of those plants have been harvested and the main stalk broken off and now have the new, or second growth on them.
