I did a trial about 4 years ago on all tubes and pipe tobbaco brands...

Best tubes I found in this order

Gambler silver ( not gold)
Golden harvest blue
Double diamond gold ( if available

Pipe tobbaco smoke basically gambler turk , or golden harvest yellow the 2 on left

Anyway these are what I found to be the best , what are your experiences? and what products have you found good?

Also the fine when strained ? do you just toss?

( edit
whole leaf beats these by a long run

I really don't have many options when it comes to tubes...I stuck with the players original for a long time because the filter end is brown and I don't light the wrong end as often. The export a tubes have less filter and are harsh...the Pall mall are good but they have a white filter...I found out though that I can deal with the Pall Malls, even if I do light the wrong end once a week! They only cost $18/sleeve vs $34/ sleeve of export or players, so if I light the wrong end I can just throw the cig away and still be $$ ahead! I do always buy my tubes by the sleeve...somehow when store employees take a carton of tubes from a sleeve, even if they don't dent the carton they manage to squish the tubes and more than anything else I want to slip the tubes on quick and easy without having to straighten them! Whole leaf is my only option for tobacco unless I'm willing to pay $300/lb. I just hope this BST that is being imposed on BC doesn't make its way east!

Here is what I found to be the secret of cig tubes ... this is the opposite of commercial bought

But if you observe the perforations on tubes it seems like most full flavor has them, yet most light tubes do not ... gambler red for instance a horrible tube , but gambler silver one of my favorites

I will not smoke any with the perforations.. top ,shigaro... whatever and I have tried them all
