Is when there’s cigars involved! I recently discovered the site CigarBid and am loving the opportunity to try out a wide variety of cigars at waaaaaay under retail. I was intending to have my humidor and tupperdor filled with my own hand rolled sticks but since WLT is taking a (hopefully not forever) break from stocking cigar leaves/kits coupled with my frustrating inability to figure out fermentation of my own harvest, I’ve been trying as many different lines and blends as I can afford.

Anyways I got 20 (of what I hope are good) sticks for $79 shipped. 5 Gurkha Grand Age Cameroon Presidente, 5 Ave Marie Immaculata Churchills, 5 Cohiba Puro Dominicana Robustos, and 5 Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Robustos.

I’ve read some not so great reviews about Gurkhas on Reddit but won’t let that stop me from at least trying a few of their blends and I got the 5 for $13 so not very invested if they’re not for me.

I absolutely loved the Alec & Bradley Tempus Nicaragua’s I tried so will be seeing how the rest of their blends compare.

Same with Cohiba, I’m in the states and can’t afford paying for a Behike anytime soon, especially since it seems next to impossible to find an authentic one. But my first of their Cuban legacy line up the Cohiba Nicaraguan Robusto was good enough that the rest of their legacy line is on my list of must try.

I’ve liked the few AJ Fernandez blends I’ve tried so figured I might as see if the various Ave Marie’s are worth trying.

I was recommended a few different Oliva’s to try by The Haroo In and Tiger Tom so I have some Melanio V’s as well as some Gilberto Reservas coming next week.

While I have a current overall favorite stick ( the Tempus Nicaragua), I’ve found that I like blends ranging from really mellow all the way to full bodied spice bombs all depending on the situation/occasion. If anyone else has any recommendations please let me know, sometimes it’s overwhelming trying what to try next.
