Tobacco doesn’t smell good coming out of press

Fermented some VA and various Burleys in their whole leaf form for 4 weeks. Then cut and put them back in the fermenter for a week at 125 degrees. 60-80% humidity.

Just took it out tonight and it doesn’t smell the best. Is this normal? Does the tobacco need to rest and dry a little before smelling better?

Allow it to dry completely, then re-humidify to low case. Allow to rest for several weeks.
