So I have grown burley21, Virginia gold, blacksea Samson. Which all had different growth habits smells and thickness and shape of the leaf. So I saw these others and baught like 20 or more types but I’m wondering what the difference is if it’s just origin location or if they are hybrids. I then started wondering if there is any types that are both air cure and flue cure applicable like could someone cross burley types with flue cured types to create a multipurpose plant? I’m also curious out of all the strains I got such as Virginia red and Virginia gold I love mixing the two leaf types together in my pipe and making some hand rolled cigs every so often. I was initially led to believe that all flue cured tobacco is the same strain just processed different but I dunno that this is true the vg is much smoother milder flavor and wider bigger leaf where the vr is more spear shaped and darker aroma and fuller flavor. I got a few burley types like golden seal special burley, Maryland609,Connecticut braud leaf,Kentucky fire cured and some other air cure types I think one called brownleaf, and a ton of cigar types like Havana and such. I noticed that the burley stems are white and I wonder where all these strains came from if they are landrace or human made hybrids? It’s all fascinating to me and the industry keeps so much secret About this amazing plant
