I've heard GREAT things about WLT, they will get my first order no doubt. I have read some say their leaf is ready to roll out of the bag? I kinda of expected to have to case the binder and wrapper a bit, but can someone share with me their experience. Thanks.

While this is true for filler tobacco, you will usually need to bring your wrapper and binder up to a slightly higher case right before you are ready to roll. This is because the moisture level needed to make these leaves elastic enough to do their job is too wet for storage and will promote mold growth. Check out some of the video's here on the site and you will get a better idea on the process. Have fun!

Also, not to do too much hand waving, but it also depends very much on the leaf you are using. There is a lot of variability between the wrapper and binder leaves available, and it just takes a little trial and error to get the feel for what works best for each depending on it's thickness, elasticity, etc. The more you roll, the more instinctual this will become. I like to prepare my wrappers/binders the day before I roll. I pull out the number of leaves I expect to use, and put them in separate bags, add moisture with a few mists from a spray bottle, then leave them overnight to absorb the water. I've found this works better (for me) than trying to case them right before rolling particularly if the leaves have thicker secondary veins. It gives them more time to soften up with less water. If they feel too wet, I set them out on the work bench while I build the blank. If still too dry, I give them another mist and let it absorb for 30 minutes. This should be a relaxing activity - don't stress too much about it as you can't really hurt anything. Time will solve any problems. :)

That's kinda what I figured, needs a little extra casing. Very cool. Looking forward to rolling my first cigar, just enjoying the education. I'm am endlessly curious, my wife can attest.... grudgingly perhaps.

All really solid advice there. To emphasize on "a little trial and error", most of what you'll learn should be from first hand.
I like to over case to get any crinkle/fold/bunching out. (so its flat and I can position it the way I like) I will bring the case down to bunch it.
I like to (if need be) let the molded bunches (dolls) dry before applying the wrappers.

LOl @MarcL you sound like my old martial arts instructor. He didn't do much talking, very little talking, but we did a crap ton of doing. As I like to say, the martial arts systems has dos and donts, but mostly just dues.
