Was about to make an order from WLT to Canada this morning, what happened to the shipping fees? They almost doubled.

WLT is my go to for all tobacco. The prices are attractive and even the shipping was reasonable but now all of a sudden it's 46$usd even if I buy one pound. I understand the cost of everything has gone up but this seems excessive. I'm sure There is a valid reason but sadly I won't be able to get an extra pound once in awhile just for the fun of it like i used to. I'll have to stick to my bi-yearly orders and even then it's not as much of a deal as it was for the last year I've been buying from there.

…also, I think the shipping price on WLT is an estimate only, which gets adjusted after USPS assesses the package.

I spoke to Don. He has to remove the economical shipping option from the site because of USPS policy changes. Now only the expedited more expensive option is available.

I don't know about domestic but international shipping you pay what they charge you at checkout.

Maybe buying 1 lb. at a time isn’t the best way to go then? Shipping 10lbs. over to here costs about $80.

Compared to local prices, even 1 lb with $47 shipping is still a bargain.

USPS will no longer guarantee delivery of first-class international mail. They will also deny any claims for "lost" packages, which means we lose money on every lost order. By law, we have to issue you a refund if USPS loses your order.

I heard there were issues with Canada Customs accepting tobacco, are you sure it's not an additional certificate that's required to clear the package?

Only tobacco headed to British Columbia, and the issue is that it’s being assessed at a significantly higher amount than other Canadian provinces -it’s still clearing customs but taxed at a disturbing amount.

I have been worried with the troubles I have with US customs from MrSnuff and Toque Snuff lately. Sniff snuff is so hard to get near Pittsburgh, and you can't order it from USA websites, you can only buy it in person becouse of "Pact" law?

That is what is making it harder to order Don. Ie can't we get the Canadian tobacco leaf duty paid? You still get the sale taxed to the right scale but it comes to us. The shipping boxes are guaranteed flat rate and insured.
