Nice looking patch Tim. Well done! How many folks you growing for? Do you have a barn?

 I'll air cure the primed under my front porch roof and another large covered area for any air stalk cured.
I figure to learn how to grow my tobacco come hell or high water so "make hay while the sunshines". Next year who knows what will be going on. Plus its supposed to get better with a few years ageing.

I ran the tiller set on forward till a couple inchs deep to break it up between the rows from the rains packing it down, Won't be able to do that again, it barely fit last time and damaged a few mud lug tips in a row or 2. Those bursa and ottoman are getting tall fast.

BarG,
your patch looks good. You can bring that tiller any time, its been so hot that the ground is like cement here.

Maybe I'll let Chicken load it up on his way through Texas and he can drop it off to you in Alabama on his way back home to Florida. I'm worried I may not get it back.

I took Bonners advice and topped all my burleys, They been filling out more since. My best burley is 7' and one fine looking plant.
Thats one of the few varietys I won't be trying for my acclimation seeds. [Grow in your own soil and climate for the next years seeds.] I'll buy more of what Bonner has to offer, and I'm glad I hedged my bets this year because his seedlings have out performed mine by a substantial margin.
