Yeah it really would be a shock.

Well, we have a (what the NOAA has labeled as) super storm coming our way, between the the way the plants are looking and that storm I'm not sure my plants are going to survive, I'm hoping they will but we will see!

Don't ask me how, but the high winds and decent rain during the night actually helped the plants A LOT. I trimmed off the yellowing/oversized leaves before the storm, went out and checked this morning and the plants look a good healthy dark green, even the terminal buds seemed to grow over night.

Keep the folks in Oklahoma in our prayers!

Didn't get a thing here on the sunrise side, quite happy about that.
Simply horrendous in Oklahoma.

That would explain why I've never seen one. (Thank goodness we don't need them here) Our little snows last long enough to rush out and get a picture before it melts and then you spend the rest of the day calling your buddies to find out if they saw it too. :D

You get a day off from work too!

Whats it for? Keeping out the snow? That question may seem funny to some but I'm born and raised in FT.Myers Fl. I'm in my 40's and have still never seen snow other than on tv. I have however seen 95*F Christmas day's. I do know how to go water skiing or knee boarding at Christmas and feel almost like summer.

Placed in the prevailing wind direction it provides a wind break and eddy that becomes the snow drift in a storm. By correctly placing your snow fence you can influence the drifts to be out of the way. Nothing is perfect but it helps A LOT !

I just put it up as a privacy fence in the summer (I don't worry about snow drifts in the yard) I have some nosy neighbors so I like to keep my garden to myself.

Ever consider 10' link chain (with the pretty green interweave) and razor wire on top? IMO it would do the job and they might recognize it. LOL
