This will be an interesting comparison; all four from the same batch, the two on the left are as rolled, the two on the right spent 3 weeks in the kiln. Color change is obvious. The proof will be in how they smoke.

Dang Bama, you're rolling some mighty pretty cigars. Mine look like I make them ugly on purpose. (maybe that's what I should tell people)

How old is the tobacco? Something you have grown this year??

I been using a sheet metal wrapper pattern I traced off a wrapper I unrolled off a perfecto. Doesn't look much like that. But then my perfecto mold looks to spit out a different shape too. Yours appear plumper on one end. Mine come out more consistent thickness. One end is pointier than the other.

I gotta master this. Soon as the weather breaks enough for some serious garage time.

Filler leaf is mostly from WLT cigar sampler, with some of my 2013 Silver River added; wrapper and binder are my 2013 Havanah. Will update on flavor change when they have been smoked.

Man...

Just thinking how long it'll be till I can sit down an roll one of my own up like that. The wait is gonna kill me. I know when the day comes, it will all be worth it. DGBama, from the time you started seed till the time you were able to roll some cigars - How long do you think it's been? I plan to have the fridge ready for curing.

Excellant on the rolling job guys. Looks great. I ordered Madole seeds from Skychaser. Hoping to get some good wrappers from them.

Just curious but were you thinking Maduro wrapper when you ordered the Madole Dark?

had a play with the new mould.
I like it a lot although I believe these may have to be pulled apart and packed tighter, there are soft spots in a few now they have dried off a bit. I now have a reasonable idea of how much filler I need.

For Todd, top of box AIDA 55 B
side of box front left 14 front right A

nothing on back or bottom.

length 98mm x 16mm straight with tapered ends.

cheers

They look good. And a high case wrapper leaf rolled tightly should firm them up a bit too.

They look great Dean...and that's a nice mould for the price you paid..especially how little you can find them down our way..its a good score. .looks like a European one..Netherlands.. Germany or something
.alot of the german/dutch ones I've seen are in good condition like that made with the same light colour wood..same sort of design. .like D.G.B said..with a good tight high case wrap they maybe fine and firm up . .
I wouldn't rip them up..they are fine.....do you think they would be 55 gauge?
