I did the same thing to My pasta roller. I put a Dewalt on the crank and set it on one with the clutch on 4. I also use the ROYAL 112MX office shreader as well. Good idea. That would work great for snuss. Don't break Your arm with it.
I was afraid of snaping off the the crank pin on My pasta machine. So I took a 2 inch piece of gas line 3/8" for a car and sliped it on the crank side of the roller and put a radiator clamp on it. On the other end I put a 2" cross point screw tip in that end ( for a screw gun) and clamped that.(drill gun end) I left a space in the center for flex and if it hung up it would twist the hose and not break the shaft even with the clutch on, on the drill. The gas line can handle alot of torque and flex.

No, My phone wont post. Working on that . It is just a short hose with two clamps on it. 3/8" It acts like a universal joint. but if it hangs up the hose will twist. I guess any real stiff hose that fits the shaft will work. I only had some gas line so I used it. It never hung up yet but stayed stiff and ran the baccy good.

Glad I COULD walk after all this plantin' , and thats just 60 or so plants , when riding home for lunch I was just wasted.
Gotta do some TABACUMS tomorrow cause the lower leaves are yellow on some of the varieties and means they have malnutrition , outgrowing the cups.
Somewhat cooler climate is coming in the day after tomorrow and I wonder how cool it's going to be , been up close to the 80's this weekend but that will soon change to something else.

The piece of fuel line is a trick used when inserting a spark plug into a gasoline engine head, to avoid stripping the threads. It probably needs to be fuel line (since it's reinforced and relatively stiff) in order to transfer much torque.

That is so cool delux. One clamp on the end of the shaft- and one on the drill bit.and You got it.. Good call .Thanks for the pic help. Now think if it was on the grinder like that? Left- drill- Right and grinder left- with a clamp on each end and the (lets say) one inch in the mid.? Say Did that come out of Your car? It has a platinum tip. Hum?$$$$

We,ve had a substanstial setback degswise the last couple of days now , earlier this week we was up close 80 , now we're down to 50 daytime and 35 at night.
Planted most of my 16 varieties , just have 3 left to be done and snails have already started chewing on the plants.......
Don't really know how much I should care about it , as long as they just go for the lower leaves it might not matter that much , the plant will hopefully grow away from them.
Had a minor shower of rain the other late afternoon/evening and the lawn surrounding the patches was full of them , think I executed 75-100 of snals + shellsnails.
So , over here we've gone from summer to spring/winter........:(
From one thing to another , I'll take out Don's Latakia from the owen today , after a heattreatment at 240-200 for a week , normally used for smoking in a pipe now'll be used to be snus  .
JBD , have you tried the firecured snus yet ?

How are the plants coping, or do you have them protected? Any signs of ground frost?

Overall they seem to do OK , but I suspect that there is some leaves that are frostbitten. Most of them seem to cope with the lower degs.
I have not protected them in any way at all , I couldn't imagine myself something like this to happen.
A friend of mine further up the coast did protect his plants with nonwoven , and he's been down below zero , NOT he but the degs ;)

Yeah , its a big pile of shit and I'm gonna drill up to 3 feet deep holes and stuff the holes with mostly all of this shit .
Hope it will make wonders on the plants and especially the leaves.
If the all the birds around this ground finds out about the worms they could have a real feast since there is thousands of'em in the pile.
Might be some leftovers and that I'll use more on the surface or just below.

That is what I did last year POGreen before setting my plants I dug the hole and put poo mixed with a little potting soil in the hole. My tobacco did really well yours should too.
Keep posting to your blog here please, I have gone to page 1 and am reading through now. It is interesting to see how things are done in other parts of the world.
Good luck with your tobacco grow.

I sure will do so Amax , don't look like much for now but I was pretty early planting and know that there is some 4 months for them to grow so I still hope for some wonders to happen ;)
Your motto is a great one : '' Can't move a mountain but can toss a pebble - If I toss many I'll have a mountain where I want it.......'' it sort of got stuck in my head for some reason .
Have you tried any grassclippings in your waterbarrells if you have any ?

Grassclippings , being the second best fertilizer there is should absolutely release some good nitrogen for your baccy.
I see in my barrels that there is a lot of flies and bugs in and around just them , so there's gotta be somethin' with it.

25 oz of Latakia made for snus for a week in the owen at around 200 F
Now these 25 oz will have a welldeserved rest in the fridge for some 2 or so weeks and boy is that going to be exciting to taste :p
Notice the very black colour it's got , this is due to the pretty high degs for quite a long time .
From my experience , baccy needs to be heattreated in high degs to be able to deliver you some really good aroma + taste , if not it isn't ready and you would get a snus that is Insufficient to use .
This change in making my own snus has meant the world to me , no boast or anything else , but this is starting to taste like snus did in the Good Old Days ( before 1997).
