Two corners were holding water so I had to move some dirt around. The whole patch is draining great now.

I still have to pick up the rest of the rocks so I don't dull the mower blades. There's just a few left, it's just a matter of doing it now.

281 seedlings. It feels great to have them planted.

Those are the only Prilep for this year, I'm multiplying seed this year. Next year is my personal grow. There will be several Prilep plants next year.

Wow, Knucks, Looks Super Duper. you even left enough room for GrFinny to park his tractor trailer between the Rows.
I like It. Although I use the Rocks to sharpen my mower blades.

I have Sluggo on hand. I just cruised through the patch a few minutes ago, no slug damage although one of my Harrow Velvet is just missing. I guess a deer gave it a nip and spit it out later.

You probably read mine, and got bored doing it. lol. We have a chance of rain for tonight and the next three days. I'm going to hold off on the Sluggo until the rain is over or I start seeing some damage. I'll try to catch them with a flashlight if the rain keeps moving in every few days. It's a Catch 22 for me, I have grass seed, lime, and fertilizer that needs some rain, but my patch could do without it.

I just stuck it around my patch not in it. It likes a little dampness to get it to work. Showers this week they say?

They keep changing the forecast by the hour. There was a 70% chance for tonight earlier, now it's gone. Then Tues. 30%, Wed. 60%, Thurs. 30%. Showers and isolated thunderstorms. I want the showers. I placed an order for showers but I'm not sure if it went through or not, paypal wasn't working right. Still no receipt in my inbox. I think that no good leverhead snuck in a last minute bid and got my showers. Who are you going to trust these days? Tobacco is a dog eat dog business.

Wow! Knucklehead, it looks great! What do you use to keep the bugs away? Beautiful property! Makes me wish I was back in the country........

I use Sluggo while the slugs are attacking. They start while the plants are real small and young and then go away as the plants get older and develop some nicotine. This year I am swapping from BT to Spinosad for the worms (hornworms, cutworms, budworms). It works basically the same way but requires half as many treatments as BT. It is harmless to humans and beneficial insects (like my honey bees). The aphids will get sprayed with Ivory Liquid and water. I hate aphids. Nasty critters.

But put a DOG turd by the plant and no more anything.... Works????? Mad. Use some KOH at two ft. and not much- It will do the job. They will be Your dinner..PS: Nothing likes a DOG turd!

We had a slow, steady, soaking rain all night last night so this evening I put out the slug pellets. I hope to nail them before they nail me. The fertilizer was melted and soaked in with virtually no run off, the whole rain just soaked into the ground, it was perfect. Now I'm ready for some sunshine!
