I received my Tobacco order this morning from WLT and went to work on my first roll this afternoon. I had some problems with getting a tight wrap with the binder. I just can't seem to hold the filler together well enough. I did manage to get my first 1 done and put the wrapper on it. I tried not to use a mold but had to after 2 tries with out one.
I've yet to light it up yet I think I'll give it a try tomorrow after it sits overnight.
I really learned alot from GDADDY's videos. Thanks Again for doing them and posting them here.
Here's the picture of my first one. I have 1 more in a mold ready the have a wrapper put on.

Thanks Bob I just got the 2nd one wrappered and took a quick picture. I better take pictures now cause I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep a flame away from these first ones.
I did better on this second wrapper. I didn't get very smooth wrapper edges on the first one but did better on this, and this second one is a little tighter wrapped.
I also put a double cap on this one.

Next is to see how they taste, burn, and see what kind of draw they have.

You are of to a great start Charlie.

If I really want to try a fresh one that seems too damp I wrap it in a paper towel and pop it in the microwave 10-15 seconds and let cool. Ready to smoke.

Charlie those look better than my first ones. Caps and all!! I'm impressed. It will just get better and better from here on. Make sure they're dry before smoking so they burn and taste right.

Let us know how it goes.

Lew I used a wood mold with a 52 ring size.
I think this weekend I might try to carve out a perfecto mold. I have some basswood laying around from making surffishing plugs with.

That's pretty cool~! I was looking at that thread with the Perfecto hand made mold, and was thinking of duplicating it too! I might use the dremel along with the hand tools.

Just be pre-warned...it's not an easy cigar to roll. Round cigars roll uniformly where as the perfecto changes direction on the turn radius. I like the challenge.

I think that's a challenge I'd like to take on. I've made plenty of Cigars with all sorts of shapes and sizes free hand, but am looking forward to building my own Perfcto mold. The one you built is the perfect size.
