Ok, so here it is. My first attempt at rolling a cigar. I used the Azucarodo Oscuro Blend kit from WLT and followed the recommended blend that came with the kit. To be honest, it was loose, lopsided and the burn wasn't quite right but it was a whole lot of fun. I don't think that any of that has to do with the tobacco, just my roll.

I sat down on the back porch with my wife after I was done and enjoyed what I had created. All in all, even with the loose draw and the funny taper, this was an excellent smoke and we enjoyed it very much!

Once I get the mechanics of the roll down, I think this will be even better!

jbohon it looks good to me. And as a wise man once said, "If it tastes right, it is right"
How did you like the taste of the Azucarodo Oscuro Blend kit ? I really liked it.
The only problem I have is I like it so much I haven't put any sticks of it away to age for awhile. I always end up smoking them the day after.
Keep at it, but a warning from one newbie roller to another, this rolling your own is very addictive.

Heck of a first roll. Well done.

The wrapper burn seems to indicate still a little damp. Let a fresh one rest a few days before smoking, or if you are impatient like me, a damp wrapper is easily cured by rolling the stogie in a paper towel, 10sec in the microwave, and a few minutes to cool.

Just had to show off:

Best one I've done yet. Wrapped it this morning. Soon as it dries off enough so the color evens out and the wrapper shrinks tight, it will look even better.

Been working on getting the head plump and the tapered foot loose and the middle fatter than the rest. The very best advice I ever got came from deluxestogie. He suggested I'd learn more rolling a few each day rather than a big batch now and then. Made immediate sense to me. You don't learn guitar by playing a concert once a month, but by practicing half an hour a day. Here I was rolling up a batch of 20 or 30 then waiting a couple months to smoke thru them all before rolling again. How dumb is that? Now that I am on a 3-a-day regimen, my skills are building by leaps and bounds. Even the sticks I sent CTbaccy last week --- I can do way better today.

Fun.

Wowwebmost, that looks really tight, very nice shaped.
What size is this one ?
I do the same, max 2-3 per day and meanwhile thinking how I can improve.

That is a sweet looking cigar, I wish I could get as smooth and tight a wrapper as that. Even the caps are smooth. Good job.
Webmost like both you and moscca I try to roll at least everyday. Basically if I didn't i would run out of cigars of my own to smoke.
Practice, Practice, Practice and smoke the mistakes.

Casa de Céfiro ?... House of Zephyr ... Meaning of zephyr and a memory aid (called Mnemonic) to retain that meaning for long time in our memory. ... Zephyr may refer to: A light wind or west wind · Zephyrus, one of the Anemoi and the Greek god of the west wind;
