Welcome to the forum! What are your goals in joining? Do you want to grow, roll, blend?
Thank you!
I came with the intention of learning more about blending. That intent is still going strong but I've been perusing the growing threads this morning. Too much interesting information and I find myself trying to digest it all at once.

For starting out on blending tobaccos, I recommend getting a sample packet of pipe tobaccos from this forum's sponsor so you have something to work with right away. 8 different varieties are included which gives you lots of opportunity to mix and match. Then maybe next growing season you can grow some of your own leaf and have a better idea of what you'd like to grow and how you want to cure/age it.

I look forward vicariously experiencing your point of view of this lonely world of pipe tobacco bending.
Alright
If you're on PSD and using the same name, I believe I should say thank you. You'd be involved in stoking the fire to dive deeper into this subject. Cheers!

Good advice I shall heed. Going to be real slow at this, however.

Tobacco is nothing to rush with. Patience is required. Aging tobacco without a kiln can take over a year. Aging with a kiln can reduce the time to a month or two. Regardless of method, the tobacco will continue to change in flavor/aroma over time, including the sample packet from WLT.
