I wished I had taken a picture of his veggie patch. His onions and broccoli are great. His soil is as fine textured as what I'm growing in, his drains better. He has more trouble with the wind than I do.
The worst wind gusts and storms seem to hit in late may, All my corn will be laying over. Last years tobacco planting missed them all. I hope I didn;t start to early. Farming for myself is a gamble I'm willing to take. Heck, I got a free six pack of shiner yesterday for letting a neighbor pump me for info.[ plus I set him up for some free organic horse poop to add to his hard pack] He didn't realize I had no magic just better soil IMOpinion. I found the best loamy soil grows better.
