I guess thats what I made for my hide tanning. just like that but different.
I call it my hide-e-hoe. If you want some wife references I aint got em.
Old fencing materials. Shifters from old trucks.

I never thought to use on the ground. I'm saying your hoe looks just like what I use for scraping hides.

I bet that would make a good hide scraper. (they sell just the replacement blades if you ever need one) Do you tan many hides? I have a coon pelt I want to do something with when I get around to it. I skinned it right, lips, eyes, nose, etc. perfect.

Two days of evening rain! This is the first rain I've received since shortly after planting. I think my plants are going to wake up now and head for the skies. There is a chance of scattered thunderstorms for the next several days, so maybe I will get a couple more showers soon. Much needed!

I hope it was rain and not the
"Flash flood" style downpours I have had the last few evenings.

Rain every single day. I tried to cut the grass and got caught out in a turd floater. I felt three sprinkles and then the bottom fell out. (I finished the yard, I was cutting at the pond when the flood hit. I got soaked before I could ride the mower back to the house) I still can't get in the patch to finish hoeing. I lack about 2/3 of the last row to be caught up with the grass. I need to spray some Spinosad but there's no use when it's raining every night and evening.
Here's my pet plants at the house. I bagged the Criollo (from Cuba) today and the Coroja (from Cuba) will be bagged in a couple of days. I have eight varieties GRIN listed as donated from Cuba at the patch. Most of them are listed as Orientals and a Primitive, but this classification could be a mistake. I'm hoping you guys can help with the classifications later on.

My pet Besuki is a very pretty plant. I have more at the patch for seed production.

The latest patch pictures. The last fertilizing greened up the yellowing plants and gave them a boost. I'm having early suckering on many varieties this year and my Rusticas are beginning to bloom. I bagged one Mahorka #6 Yellow 109 and one Isleta Pueblo today. I had no suckers last year until after I had topped the plants. Some of them are suckering as low as one foot tall. I badly need some sunshine. (not saying this has an effect on suckers, just saying I need some sun)

Wow. Can't believe you have flowers already.

It surprised me too. I'm just tagging and bagging instead of pinching the head for more growth since those varieties are for seed anyway.

Very decorative pets. Some look like hostas.
Bob

Those may be my Izmir. There are about 30 in a staggered bunch at the beginning of the bottom row in the first patch picture. There is a line of Orientals beginning there for about half the row.

Two days of sunshine. I've been a busy beaver. I picked up the rest of the rocks from the last tilling, picked suckers, tilled again between the rows and finished my hoeing. The plants are loving the sun. They haven't seen it so long they all wilted down real nice.

I'm about to crash and eat some home made ice cream.

That big tillers workin out for ya.

I'm loving the tiller.
I want to plant some more perennial Imperial Whitetail Clover there. It's good for 3-5 yrs. I'm hoping I can keep the weeds tilled in a few times this summer before the weeds go to seed so I'll have a cleaner clover crop.
