How does it reduce the pH?

The unit reduces or increases the P.h. by way of electrolysis.

Just hook it up to your tap, turn the tap on, and when the water starts to flow you can push either 1 of 6x P.h. settings.
2.5, 6.0, 7.0, 8.5, 9.0 or 9.5.
There's 2 hoses, 1 for alkaline water and the other for acidic.
Also has a carbon filter which removes most if not all chlorine from the water which is good for starting off seeds.

I bought my unit in Australia several years ago because the water quality in the area we were staying was crap. I have since left that machine in Aus with my parents and bought a new 1 for my place in NZ.
