Chicken, I know hurricane season starts in june but you'll have your first crop cured before a hurricane hits you, just worry about that second planting.;) It seems those tropical depressions dump more rain than the hurricanes.

Today my entire tobacco patch is completely covered in worm castings, probably due to a good soaking rain. Thats probably a good sign for something about the soil. There be worm sign. I'm surprised I didn't see many while preparing for planting.

100_2057.jpg [Field of dreams] A good success rate for transplants this year. much better than I expected.

To date I haven't added anything since planting,[ fertilizer or insect control ]
I haven't sprayed with BT yet, But will at some point.
Last year I was plagued with a looper caterpillar this year its hornworms getting picked off by hand for the time being.

Hey Chicken, We've had our discussions on terminology. Perhaps we should call your fertilizer "chicken castings"?

Lol, theres no way that could be misconstrued for "POOP"

I may just have to edit that post in honor of Chicken and call them Worm Poops!
