I just didnt get my plants hardened off enuff. They havein a hard time in the sun. Put a bunch in cups and moved them all in more sun. I got replacements for casualties. But its a lot of work for just bein ignorant.

Ever year Ive grown tobacco its different. It's a learning experience and the school of hard knocks is a good teacher. Next year I'll start later, Mine all got wet feet, too much late frost, and neglect from me being gone. I planted twice as much to help make up for all my shortcomings.

I wish that was what I did today. I had a broke 2" water line when I got to work. Had to dig it out by hand and wollow a round in the mud to get a new pipe on. Then load 50 big trusses by hand.

We gettin a good rain here.I needed it bad. It hasnt rained since I put out the plants In the back gardens. thought I mite have to start dragin hosees around. Plantins done for a few days but I mite have to startputtin up post and wire to tie up plants. I havent been able to put down mulch. A little wind has been blowen and newspaper is hard to work with. This rain makes me wish I had a bottle.

We're getting a shower right now too. It wasn't supposed to rain until tomorrow, so maybe we'll get a good one then.

I got mixed feelins on it. It looks good and makes good but its more work and I just like grass in the front yard. I think I will grow less next year and buy some leif. I need to give the dirt a rest. And build up the organic matter in it. Im havein some slug damage in the back garden.I need to kill them when it drys out but they dont do as much damage as the worms and I and Im not gonna smoke the holes any way. When it gets around 95degs. they dry up Like buggers. So I ant to worryed about them.

I've found it's much easier to ask forgiveness than permission. (and you get your way more often) :D
