There is always a sunny side:

Unbeleivable!

Although this virus has been known for over 100 years, recently scientists have discovered a new use for this terrible pathogen. You see, TMV nanorods are the right size and shape to bond to lithium battery electrodes, thereby dramatically increasing the surface area of the electrode. TMV is self-replicating, self-assembling and can bind to metal without a bonding agent.\

So what does this mean in practical terms? It may mean that we could produce batteries of the same size that can hold 10 times the charge. Your cell phone could run for a week or more without needing to be charged. You could use your laptop all day without plugging in and it could stay running in sleep mode for the better part of a year. Environmentally, it means that we might need much less energy production for the same result!

One pic posted showed a middle leaf infected and not top or bottom....... You spray anything at the time that leaf was maybe forming that wouldnt have been sprayed on the others>?

Or another possibility is that you had a rain and a "super charge" of fertilizer may have effected that paticular set.

The two rows were fertalized with diffrant stuff and its in both rows. Ive sprayed for slugs but it was on all plants. I think its soil born. I belive it came from a garden center that had a pepper plant that I had to have even if it looked a little bad.

Ill just pull them out and put the NC 102 in thir place and see what happens. It has some disease resistance.

Maybe just cut out and burn (in a pile, not smoke) the effected leaves? The rest of the plant will recover?

Those viruses infect the roots. The whole plant will have to go.

thanks for that insight Don. Since he has good leaves both above and below the affected area I thought it may be an option to remove the bad leaves before it spreads.
