im very curious on how that drip line works for you.... i have a lot of it, that farmers had left over, and i picked it up...

but if i incorporated it into my growing area. id get me a full roll. and the right hardware to put it toghter with..

allthough i thought bacca didnt like to have WET FEET....ive only seen the drip line used professionally in my area. for squash.. and water melons.

me to , but there are 2 types of drip lines , under the soil, and above the soil, the ones to use under the soil are more expensive, but the should work better

With regard to the "wet feet" dictum, tobacco roots can be totally drenched, so long as they are allowed to dry between waterings.

I use it only as needed. I just use the finger test down into the soil to see how wet it is. This year I am going to inject my fertilizer thru it. I was not going to put it down but I had it leftover and the way year started I am not taking any chances.

I got 150 of Larry's plants in and about 100 of my little slow pokes in. I did not think they would survive the heat and sun yesterday but I only lost one. I should have gave Larry's plants a hair cut when I put them in they were not happy with the heat but will be fine. The other ones grew about a half a beer can over the last week and I hit them all with a litte fish emulsion.

Mad, that is a solar hot water system, works Good to heat my DHW and supplement my radiant floor heat.
8- 30 evacuated tube collectors with a 500 gallon storage tank, She can make steam no problem if a pump fails.
BT
We have a solar water heater here where I work, and live, it is smaller, but works great, I am hoping to get one for my home too., ...and it is turning out to be great for "curing" my tobacco,..I decided to use the shower room, since it is so dry here. Now all I do is turn on the shower, hot, for a few minutes, every so often, fills the room with steam...keeping the humidity just right.
Edited: The "grow" looks nice, impressive....

Thank You, If I don't I will be looking at a divorce, I might be looking at one all ready for planting in the front Yard, Field.
She has me worried she cleaned my Garage it was not bad. But she also Cleaned the Bathroom, Storage Area Also. It was scary in there, I think GrFinny thought this is the worst Truck Stop bathroom he has Seen.
She was taking inventory for the divorce or horny.

I was not happy with the way I planted Larry's Plants.
So I Gave them some TLC.
I should have buried them deeper, so I removed the bottom leaves and back filled them with rotting woodchips, they look much happier now.

Good job. You will find that You will be very pleased with how the bamboo works with the tobacco plants when the wind blows as well. Heck I even use them on the tomatoes. How are You going to tie them for growth? A suggestion I used was, Tie a juke twine around the upper plant as to where it wrapes around the stick, It can slide up as it grows? Loose on both. Looks like the lawn mower will be needed in the walk way soon.

Plastic Zip Ties put on loose works for me. Fast and cheap.

Just hooked up the the drip line fertilizer injection system.I started with a Venturi system but it did not work, not enough flow.I was googling around and found injection systems.Big bucks, Then I saw my tractor supply sprayer. Done deal I cleaned her out and hooked her up to my failed suction thingie. It works great. The survivors are 2 beer cans tall the rest is Ok but I might need some more from BB.

Thats a big tobacco patch again . You keep improving and modifying on it BT.Are you expecting high winds. The bamboo poles can also be used for young trees.

Or a few thousand fishing poles. Heh heh
I'm letting mine blow down and toughen up.

BarG. I get lots of wind. I am between two mountain ranges and every Year I have lots of plants blow over. Hopefully not this year.
POGreen. I had left over calcium nitrate so I just dissolved that into the water tank. To speed up the process I drove around with it in the tractor for 5 min.
Thanks, Guys
Now it is almost time to work on the curing chamber. I better check my fire ins. Coverages.
