We have a Winner!!
We will try it out Tommorrow, hope it works. My boy is very happy with it.
Its A little boring waiting for sprouts to Grow.

Fun! I've been dabbling with metals of late. I have a foundry, but I've only been able to melt aluminum so far. What are the plans for the forge?

I would be very very interested in hearing how it works out for you!
It works Great. I need some coal tho, everyone was closed today that stocks bags of it.
I picked up a bag of hardwood lump charcoal to get him started.
I have to cut some notches in the side of the drum so the metal he is heating is laying down in the coals.

My boy decided on a new Hobby I can't afford.
I am teaching him how to build things with what's laying around and googling it.
Anyone know what we built today. Cost nothing and the neighbor gave him a free chunk of railroad track to help out.

I've seen them made out of old wheels (rims), shallow side up and a layer of furnace cement mixed with kitty litter. If he's still doing it in July, he may be doing it for the rest of his life. Fire is fun.

Thanks Greg,
I like the bigger cells Knucks, The cups were a PITA always falling over and each one had to be labeled.
Each cell holds about 2/3 of what a cup would hold of dirt. So less soil also.

I read some posts on prayer position.
I adjust my light timers to follow the sunrise and sunset.
When I get home I checked them out the leaves were flat down.
I just took a gander at them and they are in the praying position 7,30 lights are ready to go off.
They know when night falls.

I forgot to mention.
In the past I always kept the trays mostly filled with water and had problems with Algea and mold.
This yr. I only put 1/2 gallon of water in each tray And let them go dry for 2 days.
This seems Ideal for me.
