If you do salvage one a possible use for the material makes some very interesting rail fencing for gardens or entrys. I was asked to try use some hundred year old pieces from a salvaged cabin for a wainscoat in a breezeway, but they were split like staves and so twisted and unable to stack together that was the only use we could think of.

damn, i was picking and the rain got me,but im also doing a boston-butt,,,,, were celebrating a 18 birthday here,
You're cooking a Yankee Butt? Kicking I could follow but cooking astonishes me. (Didn't think you'd get that close| ) I've seen a lot of Boston butts and none of them looked that good.

As may be, best wishes to the birthday girl from a crusty old "Northerner". LOL

well i added the crock-pot to the kiln last night,

id been curing the leaves at 100-110 degrees, with 40 -50% r.h.

the crock-pot did bring the inside temp. down '' i got to adjust that ''

looks like i will be doing some re-desinging, on where, the wire crosses in my kiln, '' where i hang my strings on ''

so i can make more room. by the time it gets to where i need more room, i may be able to hand a lot of it up.. '' thus making plenty room''

i thought this big area, would be big enough,

looks like for next years crop, i better get that whole camper ready to be turned into a kiln,

TOTALLY POSSIBLE''

You're an early riser!

Enjoyed your video. Thanks chicken.

Shame you didn't have a great year with your crop.

May next season be your best yet.

Chicken,
it still got you some good leaf, even if it was not a bumper year. Around here, the rain was so plentyful, my plants were soaked from the time I planted til they died. I was glad I had a bumper crop last year.

Kill all of em. They have been tough on me this week.

Me too. I found a new crop of baby horn worms this week. My first invasion of hornworms this year. The aphids are tearing me up. I'm spraying the soap but they are still everywhere.

I think it's odd things for everyone. This year believe it or not it's white flies. I spray them and they die, then it rains and they're somewhere else.
