so far [ and this may get more added to it ] but this is what i got started,

TN90
KELLY BURLEY
GREEN BRIOR
BURLEY 204
VIRGINIA BRIGHT LEAF
MARYLAND 609
OTTOMAN
LIZARD TAIL
SILVER RIVER
HAVANA [ unknown strain, just labeled '' havana'' ]

im sure, i'll add more to the list, i still got empty seed starting trays, and 4 trays completelly full.

.................................................................

and lol. at noticing i havent been posting much, '' i had my psotic nerve ? hurting me, man did it send me constant pain down my leg,

i couldnt sit down for very long, so i havent been sitting in this chair, in a while,

but it's good to se i was missed,

im gonna get some pics, of my setup. and my starting area, with the massive, grow light eq. [ cant wait to get them under that light, im curious ]

I have a couple of 500 watt metal halide flood lights. Right now I am paying ~ $0.15/ KWH. For a 10 hour day that works out to be ~ $1.50/day to start seeds. I'm not sure I want to spend that much.

My commercial friend starts his in plastic covered Quonset hut type green houses with good success for years. It's his bread and butter so I think I will go that way.

true,,,,

im not 100% sure, i will fire this thing up, i also have the cfl's........which run cheaper at the power bill.

but if i have more trays than i have cfl's, then yes i will fire up the big boy,

i sold a lot of plants locally last year, im thinking of starting a lot just for selling purpose, and if i do that then i will use the big boy,

Makes perfect sense. Then it's just a cost of doing business.

thats the reason im thinking of the big light,

it would make them grow faster than just using normal sunlight,

It's been so cloudy and rainy here the past couple weeks, my "in the window lighting" wasn't working out at all. I had to get some grow lights to save my plants, they were getting really leggy looking for light. I hope that nerve gets better, that must really pain you in the truck.

Just a suggestion, but if you cut an X in the fabric where your plant goes instead of a circle, you can fold the flaps back around your plant and you'll have less weeds. That's how the landscapers do it.

im having issues with my seedlings, i wish this cold front would move on, and let the heat of the sun, really heat the soil up.

i gave them a little nitrogen today,,, perhaps they wanted more than just water,

today, im gonna get the mat rolled out, on the 2'nd plot,

I sometimes wonder if some of us guys start them off too early anyway ... if you get them in the ground when the ground is warm and the climate is ready and your plants are just off and running then you will have timed it perfectly!

My biggest worry is having them get too big and pot-bound before I put them in. I'm sure yours will be fine.

Chicken won't have any trouble. I think he's got plenty of time for that second grow, too. With his curing set up if he beats the freeze, he's got it whipped. He'll start his second round early if I know the Hawk. He thinks he's ,,,, fooling us, but I know it's part of his ,,,, master plan. lol

we are going to shoot for that 2'nd crop.

topping all my plants at the 5 1/2 ft. level.

allthough i doubt i'll be using my grow lights to start them, i think im just gonna do some modifying to last years '' makeshift'' greenhouse, and let the sun do my dirty work,

the lights are good if its still cold outside, but HEY< summertime is here<!!!!!
