Do the castor bean plants stay green all winter? Why can't you mail them?

no; they die at the first frost.

and thier '' stump'' is like 6'' round or bigger....you gotta cut them down with a ax when they die,

i wouldnt be afraid to mail off some seeds,,, gurneys the seed company mails them.

i did find some seeds . i thought i had planted them all but found a couple hundred, i had stashed,

you want some knuck?

No, thank you. I'm making a year round privacy screen with Virginia Pines. I was looking for something that grew faster and stayed green year round like the pines.

I get tired just looking at your patch. Even my measly 50 plants are a hand full for me.

Chicken - do you actually harvest the beans from the castor beans for oil or just grow the plants for screening?

Golden wilt was extremely hard to harden off for me. I have a similar problem with the guatemalen . sun scald seems to hurt them real bad in my climate. I had 1 plant of golden wilt make it to maturity. I haven't smoked any yet but I have a leaf in my hand that is very dark. not that big and getting ready to be tried.
