nice one Mark thanks for your help, was you thinking about the journeys end package as the prize for the sweepstake or something else, hope this goes well perhaps it could be something that other members could take part in sending the first package out, i would like to think this is about giving a little back and fun of cause:) .

If I may interject. I feel that it would be a good idea to have it's first route travel though Europe.

pros & cons here.

It would be more practical to fill the list of participants then set a "route" to minimize crossing of seas and such. Effecient.

On the flip side, a "random" route will probably make for more diversity in the seed packets for each participant to choose from; at the expense of taking more time for the package to complete its journey.

Sweden and Europe have quite good conditions for farming. Unfortunately, I live in a pretty bad place, planting zone 5 with Swedish standards. But near both zone 1 and 2. I can split my seed and let one in Gotland grow some, there are the conditions much better. But you are quite right to consider when and if you are going to involve me. If you wish, I can wait

But you have the rare varieties that we find hard to source :) .
May be because I read a lot before I started this hobby. Actually, I sat on various forums for 2 years before I bought the seed. Makes 3 crops early enough and almost too late, Then it may be it will be. Last year, I would not grow but could not resist. My wife is well right mad at me for it but ... Then I happened to look for snail atack she was right happy when they killed almost all plants. But I learned a little bit of it

Hasse this is a bit of fun and i know shipping the package backwards and forwards around the world has its pros and cons, ok they could get lost in post or they will hopefully make it all the way home but you have something to offer all you have to do is say you want to be part of the chain, as FALaholic said you have varieties that folks find hard to source.

As DGBAMA said there are pros & cons but i think with it jumping around folks are likely to get a more diverse selection.

I've never been concerned about shipping seeds overseas but then again I always ship in a very small envelope. Is anyone concerned that shipping a fairly big package containing tobacco seeds would be seized by customs?

to be fair jitterbug there are only 200 seeds in each pack as we can see from the pictures, i could send them in a letter but i think they may get crushed so they will be sent in a 10inch x 8inch padded envelope, i have sent and received these from the US, EU, Asia and Russia with no problems so i hope it will go fine, i see you are showing a little interest does that mean we can count on you joining the chain:rolleyes:

The mileage is adding now, and the package is heading for the southern hemisphere, it might like the warm climate down there this time of year. Santa will need to consume lots of rum and mince pies to speed it on its way.
