What do you carry your smokes in?

I had been using a ziploc bag for a while, but has the same drawback as a soft pack of commercial smokes, can't put it in your pocket without damage.

My criteria:
Light, durable, comfortable in pocket. Commercial RYO boxes are generally too large, heavy, or both, to meet the criteria.

I found an ALTOIDS box fits the bill perfectly, although only holds about 15 smokes.

I collect the empty hard pack/boxes from the unconverted heathens I know. Each one lasts about a month for shirt pocket use, my wife keeps her's in her hand bag and they last about 2 months. With a few tricks, I can get 20 cigarettes back in to start the day. If I make up several packs, the cellophane and foiled paper keep the moisture content good for a few days.

TOP cigarette boxes are what I use. They are as indestructible as a cockroach. They would survive an airliner accident no problem. I have driven over one and the smokes were just fine, that was 4 years ago and I still use the same box.

Same here. They are a softer plastic than most of those boxes and like the doc says, they are dang near indestructible. The hinge is the same soft plastic and hold up very well. They don't break when you drop them.

I think the Gambler boxes are made by the same company. I haven't owned one but they appear the same, just black instead of yellow.

This is the best I found so far. Hard, metal, easy, tin, nice, usable. Fits any pocket and I get it for free with my tubs. It hold 16 smokes. I want some more but they want money now. I will ask for the price or producer. It's probably from China but will be nice with WLT or FTT logo and Don should have it on stock to sell or give for present with his tobacco.

I'm using it for more than a year now and still is in one piece.

I use something similar to Rainmax, although without the fancy engraving. They sell similar cases on ebay, but you need to be careful, as many of them are not long enough to accommodate a filter cigarette. Mine's just plain silver (metal) and holds 16 cigarettes, as well.

Fortunately, the above photo is kind of blurry, so you can't see how scratched up this thing is. I have a habit of losing keys, phone, head, etc. But I've been able to hold on to this for 2 years now, and always know where it is....LOL

These handy dandy babies are excellent picked them up in Shelbyville Tn for 1.69 a piece

I think those are just like the Top boxes. They have 3 compartments. Hold 18 cigarettes or 12 cigarettes and an FTT Bic lighter. Those cross pieces that divide the sections make those boxes crush proof and strong. I really like mine.

I also have an aluminum Swedish military cigarette case that holds 6 cigarettes. I usually carry it for quick trips. 3-6 cigarettes is about all I smoke now in a day. I cut way, way back once I got off those commercial chemical sticks. That small case is great for carrying. It's small and light and rugged.

I use the revenge plastic boxes with a cardboard insert from an old paper fliptop box.
Below are some examples. Twenty perfect cigarettes in two minutes at 14% moisture, works everytime-Gmac

I bought my wife an antique Stirling silver cigarette case for her birthday. It was made in 1923.
You have to be careful with checking the size as most are for the shorter cigarettes of the era.
It holds 5 per side.

Nat Sherman boxes hold up well if you add (wide, clear, rugged packaging) tape to them (which is often necessary to affix cool graphics as well). They don't make these boxes like they did in the 1970's, so they really need the extra reinforcement. It is a somewhat tedious and exacting chore to apply the tape, especially if you are trying to do as perfect as possible. The hinge is a bit stiff for awhile, but it breaks in eventually and holds up well. (Photo 1)

Tins are always nice. Dilbert Accomplish-Mints are the perfect size for RYO's (a little smaller than Altoids), and unlike the Sherman's boxes, they usually don't spill their contents when they fall out of your pocket (when you are leaning over to do the 1st priming, for example). American Spirit tins are nice for MYO's, but good luck finding one. Mine is not for sale! (Photo 2)

The ultimate Sherman's box upgrade though is when you can find a perfectly fitting, ultra cool graphic sticker. Note that I have a superior new brand favorite! (This is actually a sticker affixed to a sheet magnet sitting on top of a Sherman's box - I don't have enough of these stickers to dedicate one to just one location forever. Also, I drive 4 different cars depending on the season and can slap the magnetic cling on whichever I am driving.) (Photo 3)

[They say: "Wine and tobacco improve with age."]
{I reply: "I improve with wine and tobacco."}
