Dirt on the row covers is actually to protect the plants. A thin layer around each one. I found last year if the leaves droopped enough to lay on the cover material they would scald and be damaged. This year, enough dirt around each plant on top of the cover to prevent leaves from contacting the material.
That is good idea. I like it I will try it this yr. also.
Thanks. BT

WOW, that's a great looking garden. You have done a excellent job with your layout. Plants look good and healthy. I love your wide rows. I wish I had the room to do like you have done, but I have to make room for other vegetables also.
Great job. I hope you have a great season.

Looks awesome!!
Bet that feels great, having all those in the ground now. I like the wide space between the rows. This is the set-up that I was considering. I have a box tiller for my tractor and will be utilizing it for my space.

Good job and congrats on the grow!!

3ft landscape cloth covers each row. Within each row are 2 rows of plants 2' between. Row spacing is about 5ft, enough for a small 4-Wheeler.

Today she is great, tomorrow who knows what mood swings might bring. Lol. Sometimes I swear I have 2 of them; the good one and the other one.

The days after planting, my big patch is downright ugly. White sunburnt pants everywhere, as we suddenly change weather to mid 80a and cloudless skies. :(

I may be ok with most if I am lucky, many are showing a tiny new leaf at the bud..........so hopefully......

you could have tightened that up, if your goal was many plants,???

i like the material you got your rows in, i left my material at the rental property,,, when i moved back in my house, i should have rolled it up... i miss it now,

but im sure i'll aqquire some more down the road,

that stuff is terrific, for growing bacca, and damn near anything,

just make sre it's real pourous,, and lets the water get in,
