Friend came through tilling the big patch today, 20 mins to do what took me a day last year. If the weather cooperates, I will be planted out tomorrow.

Definitely my best seedlings yet. Thick leaves and good roots..... Hoping for a good start.

Those seedlings grew like crazy with some sunshine. They look like some BigBonner seedlings. I hope the rest of your planting goes well, you have a crap load of plants this year.

Rows are only 110ft. Not like yours.

Note to self.... Gl-737 featured underdeveloped root system. Only one to leave half the starting soil in the bottom of the cells.

Thanks Bob, forecast is good, lots of clouds this week, for them to get established. Greenhouse made a big difference compared to keeping them indoors until a couple weeks before planting.

Looking great DGBAMA! BTW, your seed sprouted right away for me here. Nice 'baccy seed. Unfortunately, I've already harvested, and was too sick to take pics this year. The good news is that the Dr.'s found out I had a toxic build up of a permanent med I was on, and have finally weened me down.

Transplant took well it seems, most have at least 2 new leaves and looking strong at 5 days in the ground.

Your post planting weather was just about perfect. Mine have really jumped since the rain washed in some fertilizer.

Well, have been forecast afternoon showers for the last 3 days, so put down fertilizer Sunday morning.... As of yet, nothing that counts, so had to water today.

They look happy. What kind of fertilizer did you use? I've used granular 10-10-10 until this year. I put out 13-13-13 because I already had a bag.

I put out the same. Limited selection over the holiday weekend, chose the 13-13-13 over the 10-10-10 because it had a lower urea content.
