The surviving 3 FTT grow out varieties, was able to get a couple of each saved.

And successfully have N.Glauca started, after two failed attempts last year with the same seed.

Your efforts on the refresh grow-outs are appreciated. Some of the varieties on the refresh list are barely teetering on the edge of viability.

Glad to be a part of it. And yes, seed was about dead. Germination rates were horrid. Those ten plants were all that could be gotten from the seed received. One variety, "Sears Special" did not germinate any viable plants.

You're a role model for us all. Those are beautiful.

Thank you, and HAHA on the "role model" thing, just a couple years ago I had never even laid my eyes on a tobacco seed. Without the free giving knowledge base on this forum I likely would have failed and quit my first year.

Knucklehead and I started our first grows at the same time and have all thanks to give to the real veterans here for our success. I have even heard tobacco doesn't grow well in Alabama.

I do feel proud that I can now share good knowledge to help you newer guys get started, I enjoy being able to give a bit back to the community.

My first year I felt like a "mooch" asking for a bit of seed and the knowledge of how to grow and cure it. I asked more than my share of stupid questions. Everything comes full circle, my turn to give back, and my hope is that those who get help will help the new guys of next season.

I feel the same way sometimes but it comes full circle. I have sent out seed to a few people from what was given to me and bought some seed from north wood . Will do the same next year hoping to set some people up with there first seed for next year

Very nice so how's the weather over there in Bama

Skipping the transplant shock is good I am playing now with super charging seedlings and I am trying to not allow them to slow them down at all to see what happens if they are allowed to grow from start to finish in full growth. I am thinking that this will cut off several weeks off of the overall time of the grow, but we will see. Great looking garden keep up the great work

I just took out the first run of Siler River. I just hope it is as good as your SR was. Thank you again for the seeds

You are welcome for the seeds. Glad to share.

Weather is strange, we actually have spring this year instead of going from freezing to 95 degrees with no transition period.
