The title may sound odd but that's exactly what happened..

I had one of the 2 thoughrbred white american bulldog mixed with a blue bulldog puppy go missing 3 weeks ago..so I went to my new neighbours and asked them if they'd seen him..they informed me they hadn't..( on a side note their dog has come in my yard in the past and killed 2 of my chickens )..well yesterday while I was at work apparantlly their dog got out and come in my yard again and killed another chicken..but guess who was with him.."" My missing puppy""..

These people had my puppy the whole time..do they think I'm a idiot.? Now I'm not one who calls the law..but I don't need to go to jail neither..so last night I had a deputy come by to see what I could do..needless to say.the next time their dog comes in my yard..I'm gonna put a arrow in him.

I fly a confederate flag in my front yard..that alone should be enough to show these northern immagrents to not **** with me..

But I guess their idiots that need to be taught a lesson on how to be good neighbours... Its not the first time I've had to deal with a idiot neighbour..

The last guy called the fire dept. On me to see how long it took them to show up..I'll not go into details what happened to him. Let's just say he eventually moved.

Seems a shame to punish the dog by killing him. It's the dogs owners that need correction. Heck, the dog just does what dogs do.

Are the people aware he is killing your chickens? Did the deputy go to their house and discuss the problem?

No they don't know...I blew it off..but he has the taste of blood.that's why he continues to come over and kill them.

I agree .and the neighbours will be corrected on my terms..we have a lease law here..and Thiers kids that walk my road all day long..its just a matter of time before he grabs one of them.he's a bulldog also..

I had no plans on killing him. But after them stealing my dog..I'm gonna kill Thiers.

look up harvesting skunk scent on a trapping website or forum. you use a hypadermic needle and suck the scent out of two glands near their a hole. i know because my son would harvest it that way from roadkill or trapped skunks to use and sell. it is actually worth more money than a pound of tobacco if harvested rite. and it doesn't even hardly smell after you cap the needle until you push the plunger to empty the needle into what you wan't to stink.

Thanks for that info..I called some friends and told them I was looking for a dead skunk..and as luck would have it one was on the next road over from my house..gland intact...my dogs had a good barking session when I showed it to them..tomorrow we discect him..I may cure his hide.looks like he ain't even hurt..no physical damage can be seen..a perfect specimen for what I need him for..too bad I can't post pics from my phone

Ya' can't put out a fire with gasoline......
I have found out in 70 years that you can't take Arsnic and hope it kills the other feller! My Daddy always said: "Leave them kind alone."
I run into that twice. 1st time I used a shotgun, 2nd ignored it, because we had a large dairy wiith some high dollar cows and we didn't think the dog was worth the loss of some of our cows because this gentleman was an idiot. So I waited about thirty years and knocked him out one day and when he woke up I told him why.

Didn't the deputy get your puppy back?
isn't that theft?

No my dog came. Back on his own following my neighbours dog over here..he got.out again and that time he had company."" My puppy"".

All I asked the deputy is what can I do about that chicken killing dog..

Apparently the cop has chickens also..and he told me.if he's in my yard "" drop him""...

Sitting in my living room. Surrounded. By my taxedermy showed the cop i was capable of dropping a animal.

And drop him i will.

My kills.are on this.site somewhere in a thread..i know knucklehead would find it in a snap...lol.

Out here on the farm I would probably set a bait it works best for me on foxes but I don't think you are allowed to use 1080 in the US. Native animals are immune here to it as its a natural plant in the environment but one poisoned oat pellet will kill a fox or a dog within 500 meters of where it ate it.

So I grew up working cattle ranches where a stray dog could mean a broken animal. We used hot dogs soaked in antifreeze to cull the population of strays and varmits. As a farmer myself on the outside of town we get a lot of drop off dogs from the locals and dogs that fail in the dog fighting crap. These dogs if they survive are a menace. One of my neighbors takes kind and has adopted a lot of them. I love dogs and have a bunch of adopted dogs too that work on my farm. If the dog is known to kill chickens, I would warn the owners and if it comes back grab your shotgun. Just make sure you end it as nothing is worse than a bloody dog returning home to its owner to make some bad blood. About the missing pup keep them locked up. I have cameras on my place some work and some don't. But I have made it clear to the farm hands that help on my ranch that I tolerate no funny business and will call the sherif. If they did take your pup tell them what you saw in a nice manner and explain that the pup is your property. The next time it goes missing call the law. Sherif will haul them off to jail.

This really sucks. I used to have the same problem with my neighbors dogs. Getting into trash, killing chickens, and try to mate with my dogs. I did think about revenge but went with a new dog proof fence around 20 acres. Cost a lot of money but I am not in jail and can earn more money.

take note where the glands are under the skin when you disect him. if you can get a big vet needle from a farmer friend you can extract the stinky $ stuff without doing any cutting. i watched my son jump out of the truck suck the stuff out and be back in the truck in under a minute laughing. he said if i could find enough dead skunks i would make over $1000.00 an hour with a smile on his face. people look at him strange when they drive by and it looks like he is sticking something up a skunks butt on the side of the road. you don't stick the needle up its butt , just next to it. some people laugh at him but he said there the ones actually working for a lot less money. he also traps and sells whole glands out of beavers.

My yard is fenced in 3/4 of it is chain link fence..and the rest is box fence..after this incident i put chicken wire cut in half..a 2 1/2 foot high along the bottom of the box fence..the puppies were going thru the fence..

And on a side note the neighbour come to my fence last night ( i had a bonfire going ). And we had a nice adult conversation..

In the past my wife confronted his wife. About her dog killing the chickens ( you dont mess with her chickens )..and they allmost went to blows apparantlly it got that heated of a arguement...

So the wife being pissed at my ol-lady wasnt letting the dog come back..he himself told me he was against what she was doing and wanted to bring the dog over..

So today.ill bury the skunk.and bury the hatchett..

But now my woman wants a piece of her ass..so ill just sit back and watch.

I mean who dont like a good catfight..

Remember where you bury the hatchet . Skunks are plentiful and fresh stink is available anytime .

But most of all keep a camera ready for the cat fight and post it . Women gone wild ???

Much better stinks out there than a skunk. I could send you my sons basketball shoes. They would kill a skunk

You should have no guilt for killing a predator on your property chicken, regardless. It's legal and moral to do so. I know I would and not worry.Your neighbors don't sound like they are concerned or they would solve the problem themselves. Ive dealt with neighbors like that and it aint pleasant but they know they were wrong and they still dont admit it. I have great neighbors here but county wide like around our family farm, shoot first and ask questions later.
